Installation & Setup Guide

Overview

Welcome to Cartsaver! This guide will walk you through installing and setting up Cartsaver on your Shopify store. In just 3 minutes, you’ll be ready to verify COD orders and reduce fake orders by up to 95%.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An active Shopify store
• Admin access to your Shopify store

Note: Cartsaver is specifically designed for Egyptian e-commerce stores and supports all major Egyptian mobile carriers.

Step 1: Install Cartsaver from Shopify App Store

1.1 Find the App

1. Log in to your Shopify Admin and go to the Shopify App Store.

1.2 Install the App

1. Click the “Install” button
2. Review the permissions requested by Cartsaver
3. Click “Install” to confirm

Why these permissions? Cartsaver needs to access your orders to send OTP verification messages and update order status based on customer responses.

Step 2: Plan Selection & Subscription Approval

Immediately after installation, Shopify’s secure billing system will take over to ensure your account is properly set up.

1. Select Your Plan: You will be redirected to the Cartsaver Plans page. Choose the plan that fits your current order volume (we offer a Free Plan for new stores!).
2. Approve Subscription: Even if you select the Free Plan, you must click “Approve” on the Shopify checkout screen.
   • Note: You will not be charged for the Free Plan; this step simply activates the app’s features for your store.
3. Redirect to Dashboard: Once approved, Shopify will automatically redirect you to your new Cartsaver Dashboard, where the real magic happens.

Step 3: Initial Setup & Checkout Flow

Now that you’re in the dashboard, it’s time to tell Cartsaver how to handle your orders.

1. Choose Your Logic: On the home screen, you’ll see the OTP Verification section. Select the tile that matches your business model:
   • WhatsApp Order Confirmation (Recommended): Verifies the customer after they finish checkout. This is the highest-converting flow.
   • Pre-Checkout: Verifies the customer before the order is created.
   • Fast Checkout: A streamlined 1-click experience.
2. Toggle Notifications: Ensure the Order Notifications toggle is switched to ON so your customers receive their WhatsApp/SMS alerts instantly.
